Poll: When Did FCB Jump the Shark?

I think I'm going with Karaoke Contest.

It hasn't. Please stop overreacting everyone. I wasn't in favor of turning off the sig pics, but that seems to have reversed.

I'm astonished by the sheer amount of stuff people can't seem to ignore these days.

    No shark has been jumped.
FCB is trying to offer incentive and make the site accommodate more users. Some things work - some things don't.

Ya know, those of you bellyaching do have the option of just going away. This board is FREE to all and I'll just bet that the advertising revenues
do not cover the bills. This site is, thankfully, very entertaining for me and probably others too. Shoo!

I agree that it hasn't. Does this mean we get to see Gilmo jump a shark on water skis?

Probably with the format change. i understand why it had to happen, it just has never been the same.
Also, the message board format as a whole is on its way out. That has nothing to do with FCB, but
more to do with the way the world works. Twitter is much more entertaining and interactive.
What you collect is awesome, what i collect sucks.

    I jump the shark daily.

What's your problem with the Karaoke contest?

    That one is legit!

But in all seriousness, it hasn't. It's the same as it's always been, minus all the people who are babies who can't handle change who took off and all the people who have been banned and/or left because of over-moderation.

I would like to point out to you that this is the LEAST moderated sports card website on the internet that actually tries to moderate.

    Otherwise, it hasn't.

The large majority of them are, for sure. But I remember a time, when FCB was booming, that you rarely ever saw locked or moved threads and endless mod warnings stifling discussion. You guys thought that 'tightening up the ship' was going to bring more people and keep them here, but it seems to have done the opposite as member involvement has seemingly decreased (minus the FCB bucks hoarding threads) since all that happened. I'm not complaining, I love FCB. But hey, it is what it is.

FCB has not jumped the shark though. It's still the best sportscard forum on the net.

That message has been conveyed. However, it's no surprise when those who get reprimanded feel persecuted.
