Hockey Card Vending Machines

Does anyone remember the vending machine units that dispensed out hockey cards? I remember getting a promo Wayne Gretzky out of one that was located in a hotel. I've also seen them in local hockey rinks.

Does anyone know what the value, or a good price to buy one of these vending machines would be?

Can these things be a profitable venture?

I think they were only profitable at the time because hockey cards were booming. I can't imagine they would be extremely profitable now. I see the machines sometimes selling stickers. If the machines themselves are cheap enough, and you have the real estate, they probably might be minimally profitable, but I wouldn't plan on retiring on them.
