Yeah, I'm not a prospector by any means, but to my knowledge Rendon is one of the bigger names in this set. For his 1/1 autograph to only go for $300 seems a bit low if you really believe Valiant cards are going to pay off in the long run.

Agreed, I realy like the look of the valients...

the aesthetics and the history of the parallels could really save these from becoming 2nd-rate fodder

I busted 4 cases, I think they really look nice but as with all unique designs, they will tend to form strong opinions to one side or the other. Chrome is a similar deal each year, you know what you are getting...products that look like Valiant you probably really like it, or really don't.

I wish there was more differentiation between the green base and blue /99, those are hard to tell at times.

Depending on the player, prices have been somewhat inconsistent as far as the parallels. Some of the reds and blacks seem pretty cheap, while others are getting nice premiums. Personally I am wondering if in the long run the /99 blues will be a solid chase card, and one that gets more attention (especially getting compared to a Chrome Blue Refractor but with a lower print run and a much lower price tag.)
