Quick question: I was just curious if you serious Griffey collector's consider the 89 Bowman and Bowman Tiffany #259 (the one with his dad) to be part of his checklist or is it strictly his dad's card with him appearing in a cameo role?

Yup! For what it's worth, I collect anything with Jr. on it, even if it's technically his fathers card. Also, if you are interested in that specific card, there is rare textured TV variation (there is another thread talking about it).

Beautiful Griffey's, as usual.

Also +1 on the 89 Bowman Sr. card. I collect it as if it were a Jr.

Anyone have a backstory on this Griffey/Mantle Topps card?

One of my biggest pulls back in the day was a 1995 Leaf Statistical Standouts Griffey. I pulled it at a show and the dealer had a Ripken that he wanted to trade straight up for it. I couldn't let the Griffey go since I pulled it myself. It's still one of my favorite cards of his. (Within the last few years I picked up a Ripken as well.)

I'm looking for a 1998 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor if anyone happens to have one that is available (or knows where to find one). I posted in the buy/sell/trade section as well but thought it wouldn't hurt here as well. Thanks!
