Lots of big games from 1999. Nomar had a 3 HR game including two grand salamies. Here are the FCB points from just that game.

Only had a solo shot in the previous game for his lone hit, so he doesn't break the Top 10, but puts up a respectable 28 score.

He also homered the game before, to get him to a 2 day score of 35 and get in the Top 10.

I seem to remember Marcus Giles having back to back 5 for 5 days...can't remember if they were just all singles though.

EDIT: I could've swore it was back to back 5 for 5 games but it appears he just had a torrid week. In 3 games he was 13 fo 15 and expanded to 5 games he was 18 for 25.

But in back to back games on July 28/29th 2003 he went 9 for 10 with 2 HR and 8 RBI

Just saw this update. Only 9 for 10 is weak. Haha. Actually, it is ranked #15 right now with a score of 25.

Looked up the game for exact numbers,

Alfonso Soriano August 13/14 - 4 HR, 1 2B, 13 RBI, 6 R, 1 BB, 1 1B, 3 outs

Total points: 36 points

EDIT: Opps, was working slowly on my iPad.

It is also crazy that he had 4 hits following those 2 games and 9 hits over the next three games total!

From 8/13 to 8/16 he went 13 for 18 with 5 HR and 18 RBI with an OPS of only 2.361.

If you know the date when a player had a monster game, you can go here and put in the date to look at the box score and then look at the day before and after to see how they did in consecutive days.

I know Mike Schmidt had a 4 HR game in Wrigley so he's going to be the next guy I check.

The Schmidt game was April 17, 1976. He had three HR in the first 9 innings, but the Phillies could not hold a 15-13 lead in the 9th as the Cubs tied it up and they went to extra innings. In the top of the 10th, Schmidt came up with a man on and hit his 4th HR of the game to make it 17-15 and the Phillies ended up winning 18-16. Think the wind in Wrigley was blowing out that day?

Schmidt had a 5th hit along with the HRs and garnered a 28 score.

The Phillies were off on the 6th, but the day after the 4 HR game he homered again. Unfortunately, his 4 outs including a double play erased most of those gains so his two day score looks like this:

While all other players, obviously, fall short of the greatness of Nate Colbert, did you know that Nate and his dad were in attendance when Musial hit his five home runs in a doubleheader?

Have you seen the website where a guy claims that he has one of Colbert's HR balls from that game?

Rickey - July 5, 1993 Game 1: 2-3 Leadoff homer, 2RBI, BB. Game 2: 2-4 Leadoff homer, 1RBI Total 4 for 7 with 2 homers and 3 RBI. Not too shabby for a leadoff guy!

For the 1993 doubleheader, Rickey had a score of 13. The GDP hurts. I went the other direction and started with his 5 SB game and found that he got a score of 22 on July 29/30, 1989

In two games he had 1 official AB which was a triple, plus 7 BB and 6 SB.

I was a little surprised to see that he had never had a 6 SB games whiles others have. Also, shocked to see that Tony Gwynn tied Henderson with a 5 SB game of his own. I'll be surprised if 22 is the highest score for Henderson. There have to be consecutive games where he hit multiple HRs, had multiple SB, plus walked and scored a bunch of times.

Since there doesn't seem to be anybody that has compiled this and I don't have access to query a database, I think this may be the next best thing. Go to a baseball player and select "Batting". Scroll down a little and you see a link to HR Log. This lists all the HRs by the player. In the Play by Play table there is a column called "#gm" which is the # of the HR in that game. Most of them are "1" so it is easy to scroll down to find the 2s and 3s and see if any of them are on consecutive days. (Clicking on the linked date next to it will open the box score.)

For instance, McGwire had 3 HR on June 27, 1987 for a score of 22 and followed on June 28th with two more HR for a score of 16 for a two day total of 38 which ties him for 4th best on the list.

Willie Mays had a crazy couple games in 1958 where he had a two hr game followed up by a 2 HR/2 Triple game. Amazingly, his teammate, Darryl Spencer (never heard of him) almost matched him with 4 HR of his own plus a triple and double.
