I started to do a complete overhaul of the code on http://www.sportscardslist.com as I get ready to roll out a iOS/Andriod mobile app.

As part of this, I am going to launch a new design for the site. Hoping that the easier to use design adds some value to all the users.

Here is a sneak peek! I should have some more features to show-off in the coming weeks, especially as I get closer to rolling out the new apps.

I'm gonna sign up for this. It's gotta be easier than writing everything out on my iPad notepad

looks good! cant wait to see the app.

how are checklists for late '90s -- early 00's baseball?

I have close to 12,000 sets in there from 1996 to 2004. A combination of minor league, mlb and japan cards.

In version 2.0 of the site, users will be able to make suggestion on set edits and add set information if stuff is missing from the master database.

To get the ball rollin on corrections....

Specifically, this set:

http://www.sportscardslist.com/baseball/1991/major-league-collector-pins

is just a renamed and renumbered copy of this set:

http://www.sportscardslist.com/baseball/1991/mvp-pins

Also, despite every "mainstream" catalog including it in spite of contrary evidence, this card does not exist:

http://www.sportscardslist.com/baseball/1990/classic-blue/1930377/133a-hensley-meulens-err

There is only one version of that Meulens card, there are not error and corrected versions.

And I highly recommend replacing all of the Japanese checklists with data from either TradingCardDB or SCF, the Beckett information is a sloppy mess.

Thanks!

I will make those changes. Most of the data was sourced from various peoples Excel lists or master collector lists that I had accumulated over the years. I will have to cross reference it against some other sites to try and get the most accurate data possible.

Man I can't imagine how much work this much take. I can't wait to start using it

I have spent more time on it than I am willing to admit, but I think it has the potential to be a great resource for the hobby.

There is no reason someone should pay $40.00 per year to Beckett for their archaic system. I knew I could design a better, more user friendly version.

Just wondering if it's ready to go. I'm gonna use this very soon

The existing site is up and going and very functional. I am just in the processes of redesigning it and re-releasing it, along with a number of updates in a few months.

Feel free to register and use the site right now. All of your data will be kept and transferred over during the upgrade.

You can find the current site here: http://www.sportscardslist.com/

It's been a while since I updated the thread, so I wanted to show off some more of my progress. I have been working on the image upload capabilities for the past few months. I have worked out a number of the kinks with the bulk uploader and the new image gallery for the site.

I think the new library feature is going to be great. Take a quick look at what its going to look like:

You will be able to control all of the details of your images after you upload them to the site. I am still refining some of the image attributes for the site so that everything works flawlessly together.

The feature set is quickly growing.

Stay tuned for more.

I just gotta find the time to explore the site and get everything scanned. I can't wait to see how many more trades I'll be able to make using it
