A 7-day auction realized price IS the current market price. Much like price at the gas pump these realized values will fluctuate.

No, you guys are are silly... Beckett/Toga pricing is the true market and anything else is something fishy.

How many 1998 TEK diffractors are you up to now in your collection? Even with around 300 thats less than 4%..
of 8100 or 8010 (if pat# 49 diffractor was not made)

Congrats on the additions.

can you make ONE POST without the back-handed compliments or passive-aggressive bragging about how many diffractors you have acquired while remaining "thrifty" ? it really is beyond tiresome....

$1/ea LCS finds. I will be going back with more time to burn very soon.

View attachment 60714

What part of CT do you live? There is a card shop that is 2 hours from me I might have to go take a ride though CT with a stop at Foxwoods on the way home lol
EDIT- this is reason #1 why the LCS is an endangered species...

On the other topic- if I ever win the powerball I'm just going to win every Diffractor just because, see how much you like the bidding then! Lol

Some of you guys like SCarolina, Ventura guy and rockies guy are so predictably cute with immediate responses to anything I post but no idea what you said sicne all 3 of are on my ignore list but I am sure it was supportive and constructive comments.

PS.....The guy selling a set of 90 Palmerio's on ebay sold me two extra 40 pattern# 1s. He did not have an extra pattern# 40. He has some other Palmeiro is anyone collects him

As a very pleasant surprise today I have an old friend and TEK collector who is sending me 25 diffractors as a blind lot as a gift for helping him complete a 1962 set five or six years ago . No idea who they are (he said it would be a surprise) but there is a 96% chance I do not have any of the specific card/patterns. My focus is 14 and 35 to go for two 90 card sets and any extras beyond those 3 sets will be sold off when (or if) I complete them which could take a very long time.

i call BS.....post 3537 proves that i'm either not on your ignore list or that you still feel compelled to read my posts anyway (you did TRY to refute my comments from post 3536 by using the exact words i used to describe you)......and of course once again , despite griping about people who purchases duplicates , you try to slyly boast of your partial 2nd and 3rd sets-in-progress....if the miserly - er , i mean thrifty - old man who is a self=proclaimed "happy camper" truly had any integrity he would either get rid of all his doubles/triples/etc or stop whining when "Tek guy #1 " wins cards "he already has in his collection".....not to mention , if his life were so blissful , he'd never bother to talk about everything done by me , brian , "rockies guy" , or "that RR guy" nor would he continually gripe about "unusual bidding" everytimg a tek card goes for more than his lowball offer/bid....sounds more like a 13-year-old than a retiree.....

Wow! A week's worth of deleted posts. Moderator intervention? or self-censorship? The web equivalent of washing his mouth out with soap! Won't last though, it never does.

Anyone have an extra Todd Helton card #69 pattern 68? A fellow contacted me looking for that card as his last one of the set of 90 Heltons. Don't have an extra one myself. Give Curtis an e-mail shout if you do at [email protected]. I invited him to check out this list now that it's semi-civilized again.

Self censorship not wanting to clog up board or give fodder to typical 3 guys who aways have their comeback even though it has nothing to do with or directed toward them Keep bidding them up to maintain the perceived value of the 98 TEks. I also think there are two others (RLS from Baltimore area and one other) who have completed all 8100 with two other guys (Don A and Mark T) who are within 200 of all 8100. I believe I have or had a few Don A needs (Ive traded TEKs with him before long ago) but he never contacted me and cards put back in storage again... So I get rinkrat is frustrated as several new guys seem to be entering the Diffractor ebay bidding picture but dont blame me for that. I bid on diffractors I dont have for sets # 2 and #3 and for pat# 1s and same card/patterns #s for separate sets I am building. Thats it. I drop out when prices get to point for me I think are too high (Im thrifty) and several other guys bid them up before last snipe bids drive prices sky high. More power to anyone who wants them bad enough. BTW I directed that guy to rinkrats email who had sent me an email looking for a pat# 68 of Todd Helton for his last one to complete his set.

I'm not sure I've ever seen someone go so far out of their way and try so hard to be unlikable. The comment about Rich is completely unwarranted.

my FCB ignore list....... brian26...game****fanatic...athletics07

the really funny thing is that if i were truly on your ignore list , you would never know if i were talking to or about you or simply discussing tek cards in any of my posts so you'd never feel the need to even mention my name or comment on what i posted.....

as for the cards...i still don't have too many 1998 teks , but did get in a small lot today that included just my 4th diffractor.....hoping to be able to get a few financial issues resolved and then get a bit more into all 3 original years soon ...in the meantime , if anyone has any small random lots they're willing to part with (other than in trade for other teks since i know i don't have that available) feel free to shoot me a pm.....

I wonder what a complete 90 card 1998 TEK diffractor set would go for on ebay?
I honestly don't know how much interest there would be unless it was from a diffractor master set collector frankly or maybe a guy on here who just generally speaking collects diffractors. You'd probably get a lot of messages from guys on individual players, which would piss you off lol

I agree. An 8100 card set likely wouldn't sell nearly as much if it was broken up by player or even into individual cards. Not to mention there have been no sightings of a diffractor pattern 49, I believe, so best case is an 8,010 card set.
