It seems like people are still posting on the December pickup thread so I figured I would start a January one. Will start it off with this monster

Last month I had posted about Dr. Bobby Brown. Well, soon after that, Kevin joey12508 reached out to me, said he had something I could use, a few days later this card shows up....

His rookie, great colors and centering. Thanks again Kevin for your generosity!

Picked up plenty of 2011 Topps Heritage Tints. Looks like someone unloaded most of a set on eBay in December. Picked up 64 of them that I needed, but I won't bore you with scans of them. These were some other's I've picked up so far:

And not a huge pickup, but the last one I needed for all the 96 and 97 Finest Mantle and Refractor sets:

I've been slowly adding Buck O'Neil items to what I already had to start a small collection of his. Other than random autographed pieces he doesn't have many cards issued (~50) and most of those are recent cut signatures and such.

I managed to snag this a week or so ago and it came in today.

Cool cards, especially the Lefty. I got this nice Jim Thome card in today. It's only my second one and I think it might become harder to find if Thome goes into the HOF later this month.:p

There's someone who should be in the hall of fame. Maybe the best ambassador for baseball ever. I love that guy. Got to meet him at a ***** League show and he was as awesome as you'd hope he'd be.

Could not agree more Scott. He did a signing for us in Tulsa in 1991 or 1992 and let me hang out with him all day and talk baseball. Every time Dad tried to run me back to our booth, Buck talked him into letting me stay at the autograph table. It was an eye opening experience for an 11 year old in a lot of ways, not only learning about ***** League baseball but getting a first hand insight into a period in our history I just didn't know about yet. Monte Irvin and Ted "Double Duty" Radcliffe were both there too but Buck stole the show. I'm not ashamed to admit to shedding an angry tear or two when Buck wasn't elected. I doubt I could have stood up and spoken for all the other ***** Leaguers Hall of Fame Inductees who had passed away like Buck did, had I been in his place.
