Anyone else see this late last evening? It was gone by this morning. Figured someone worked out a deal direct with the seller:

I've read about the infamous, unstamped/unnumbered 1998 Flair Masterpiece uncut sheets in basketball but this is the first time I've seen it for baseball. While there are many of the unstamped 1998 Row 0 Legacies out there, never have seen the unstamped Masterpiece parallels in baseball.

Would love to hear any info/news others have about this item or set in general.

I bet we see these cut. Two Lankford's that I would go after.

from what i noticed of the printing of the stamping from what i learned from the basketball side of the hobby...looks phony. the printing isn't as sharp as a real one.the M is usually not clean and bleeds a bit.

the damon was submitted on the 8th of may this year. prob to see if it would pass BGS. the others were then submitted on the 13th of may. obviously im no expert and can't say no definitively, so i hope for your sake it is legit, i kept away because i wasn't sold on the legitimacy.

So those weren't legit cards? I picked up the Lofton out of that group...

Some unstamped 1998 Flair Showcase Purple "Masterpiece" football cards have gotten out there, too. I picked up a Row 0 Trent Dilfer a few years ago, haven't seen any of his others floating around but who knows...

If I had a double of the Jeter I would sell you it but with only one it's a PC item I remember that one being pricey and I lost the first auction and won the 2nd auction that was listed like a year later.

Thanks. They actually pop up fairly regularly (compared to the others) and sell in the 30-40 range.

One of my favorite sets. Sorry for the large scans. Me and photobucket don't get along.

interesting. I wonder why they would make a sheet with multiple of the same player. at most you would make 2 copies of any card, one to be packed out, and an extra in case it was damaged and a customer asked for a replacement. Weird that there are two Pedro Martinez Row 3 cards.

i would totally be interested in picking these up if they were to be made available for sale, but wouldn't pay as much as the normal 1 of 1's.

I am lucky enough to own a stamped 1 of 1 98 Row 0 and Row 1 Pedro Martinez, and a stamped 1 of 1 1998 Row 0 and Row 3. where the stamping looks legit. and i was pleasantly relieved to not see either of those cards in this sheet :)

^different Rows......the Lankords are two different rows

unless my eyes betray me, the bottom row and the 4th from the bottom are exactly the same. the bottom row is upside down, but it looks like a mirror image of the row that is 4th from bottom. the Pedro Martinez is the 2nd card from the edge in the lower left (looking at pic #1 )

in fact, after turning my laptop upside down multiple times, the bottom 3 rows all look to me like duplicates of the rows above them rows 4-6, counting from the top). they are also the rows that the seller calls out as not having names printed on the back.

thoughts? am i blind?
