Most ridiculous thing I've seen posted in awhile, just wow. What was the timeline on this like, did you pick up a lot in 1999 right after release or has it been a slow grid or what?

A little more than half were piece by piece, and the rest was bought from a former Biggio collector as a lot. Since that purchase (3 years), I've seen none of the 6 needed to complete it.

Bought the lot because I saw a '93 Leaf promo peaking under a card...what I didn't see was the Gold Rush just above it.

Nice steal on the Thomas lot!

I may have just bought a 1999 E-X gold prototype for $2. Fingers crossed. Too bad I missed the Frank Thomas for $3.

Anyone know if there were gold prototypes in football as well? I nabbed a John Elway that looks exactly like this from that same card shop I won those xxxx/5000 executive proofs from back in January. Only reason I bought it was because I remembered the base cards were clear and the see through gold looked different than how I remembered it.
