i'd also be interested in both for going ebay rates, but i saw the asking price

Is there a "going rate" for a 10/10 pop 1 of 2 out of 153+ graded?

Depending upon whether BGS drops the raw one and drags it around the room under the wheel of a chair or not, the raw should get a 9.5/10. Who knows, maybe another 10/10?

Its not just mine.

What's your point, Boss? If you don't want a card I post at a price I want, well, GET OVER IT. Your insults and constant dogging are petty and immature and show a lot about your character. But, if that's all you can muster, keep at it.

In an attempt to help you out:

Chris Sale BC Auto 10/10 got $250
Billy Hamilton BC Auto 10/10 got $127
Jackie Bradley Jr. BC Auto 10/10 got $250 BIN
Matt Barnes BC Auto 10/10 didn't sell at $90
Oscar Taveras BC auto 10/10 got $392
Bubba Starling BC Auto 10/10 got $244

The ungraded base versions of all these cards sell for similar or more than a base Teheran.

Are they pop 2 out of 154 graded? Just wondering.

Taveras 10/10 is pop 18,
Bradley is a pop of 7 out of 112 graded.
Starling has 37 10/10
Hamilton 10/10 pop report is 9 out of 137.

Teheran is POP 2, AND had a better spring than all those guys. Scarcity matters. I don't think the asking price is unreasonable, and if he pitches a couple strong games in the reg season, I expect it would sell for that and then more if he keeps it going. Trout 10/10 got $1400+, right? $500 is not unreasonable.

People were ragging me for wanting $75 for a gorgeous Trout sterling auto which later sold for $500, and you guys were dogging me for asking $150 on a Trout xfrac auto that sold a couple months later for $1150 on ebay. Yeah, $1150.

Just be advised that when you post these types of threads with these types of inflated-for-no-reason prices, you make people not want to deal in the transaction section, as new-comers think everyone here currently wants inflated prices for potential and unlikely future gains.

Come back when those cards are actually getting the prices you want and it won't look so insane. No one here is even thinking about paying 10X the relative going rate.

From what I've learned from all the "big boys" here on FCB, the value of anything so rare (with a pop of 5 or less) is basically unrelated to any "going rate" for other cards of that player, and the seller "has the right" to ask what he wants for it. If there were a BGS 10/10 selling for $50, yeah, I'd be asking "10x the relative going rate", as you claim, but your statement is off-base, slanderous, and purely argumentative. A 9.5/10 just got $70, and there are 91 of those out there. POP of 91 is much different from a POP 2, right? Yeah, it is. So, try to calm yourself.

Take a look around in this "hobby" and see who has "inflated prices." You won't have to look far.

Thanks for the advice on how to sell my cards though. I appreciate your concern.

who cares what anyone sells anything for. you dont like those prices you can close the thread out and move on. nobodies forcing you to inquire on them. do I think his asking price is high? Yes. Is it my business what he chooses to ask on them? No.

*POPULATION REPORT: 2 GRADED 10/10 pristine, 91 GRADED 9.5 gem-mint, 49 GRADED 9 mint

What does this "population report" tell us and mean to us when we gauge the value of an item, either as seller or as buyer?

It shows us that a BGS 10/10 grade of this card is 45.5x scarcer than that of a BGS 9.5/10 (or just 9.5 card), and 70x rarer than all the 9.5 and 9 cards combined.

If a 9.5 just sold for $70, and mine is 45.5x rarer than that, then how much more should a consumer expect to pay for the 10/10? Think about it.

45.5x is a huge difference in scarcity: it's basically the difference between a super auto and a gold auto.
