The ultimate blast from baseball's past. Debuted today out of the Padres pen. 1 inning, 2 Ks.

Now 28 and back in affiliated baseball, he was Bryce Harper before Bryce Harper, for those who don't recall this child prodigy.

His is such a crazy story.

From child phenom, to a 16 year academic and baseball prodigy entering college at USC, to struggles in the minors, to a full position change, to indy ball, to YouTube videos of him throwing 100+...finally to the majors.

Most definitely no longer a prospect, but a fantastic prospect story of one bizarre path of a former top tier prospect.
