With all the PWCC trimming threads catching fire...

I was curious.
Could I take a dark bordered card, drop it on a corner, manufacture a ding, press the card and trim the defect away while keeping the card 2.5”x3.5”?

The card

Oops, the top right now has a pretty nasty ding.

This all being said, this practice has no place in this hobby and I couldn’t imagine someone having the balls to knife a 52 Mantle like it’s currently being done.

Without a loupe I couldn’t tell the difference in the edge of a trim or non-trimmed side.

The card was definitely shorter, but unless BGS and PSA are getting really nice rulers out on every single card, they’re not catching the difference.

I don’t know who is more to blame-
-TPGraders
-Consignors
-Now me for putting more info out there

They're using lasers now, not blades. But still a good post. I can't believe the TPG's are letting these through. What good is a 10 when it could have been a 7 at one time. Scammers/fraudsters are using modern technology to alter cards, yet the TPG's won't use it to catch them. Unreal.
