Still one of my all time favorite scans. They're all gone now but I'll be pulling for Myers anyway. He's gonna be one heck of a Major Leaguer!
I've been waiting for the Wheeler debut for a long time. (Although I'm well sold off by now)

If anyone will be swinging for the long ball in his debut, it's Myers. If he sees a first-pitch fastball over the plate he's going yard.

"After his start, Wheeler will be optioned back to Triple-A, but he is not really going anywhere. He will be reassigned to the team before his next scheduled start on Tuesday in Chicago. "

I remember when I hit this I said, "Oh man, just a no-name Royals catcher!" Traded it right away for a PSA 10 Rizzo blue auto, which was a 1/1 gem at the time. Not a bad trade, IMO.

True, but you make your money on the hype. 49 times out of 50 it's hype; 1 time out of 50 it's Braun, Trout or Harper.

I don't get the game on TV, but looked like he was missing up with all fastballs in the first from watching on gametracker which could be adrenaline/nerves. Interesting to see if he settles in.
