The 1998 Topps Tek Thread

I have decided to thin out my Bernie Williams collection and just concentrate on a specific core group of cards rather trying to have everything. With that said I'm going to let go of my 98 TEK patterns. I was 6 short of complete. I sold 11 to a friend, if you are looking for any send me a message.

Good stuff... I'm sure some guys on here need some of them since you have what sounds like 73 of the 90 patterns still out there. Do you have any diffractors?

So I have an ongoing thread on each of the other trading forums of which I am a member seeking the remaining Sandy Alomar Jr. base patterns and diffractors. Recently someone responded to the thread with this:

does Sandy even have cards in Tek set? i dont remember any.

I am trying to compile all of the patterns of Sandy Alomar Jr. from 1998 Topps Tek.

I need the following base patterns:
6, 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 21, 27, 40, 54, 55, 66, 71, 78, 83, 84, 86

I need all diffractors EXCEPT the following:
23, 72, 74

My mind is boggled. Reading comprehension is a wonderful thing.

Here is what I still need for my 98 Tek Cubs. I have checked Ebay, COMC and Sportslots. Any more ideas of where to look?

Card #2 Kerry Wood. Need Patterns- 2, 3, 4, 9, 19, 20, 24, 25, 30, 31, 40, 46, 50, 51, 56, 63, 64, 67, 71, 72, 75, 81, 82, 86, 87, 90 Need all Diffractors except- 46
Card #2 8 Sammy Sosa Need Patterns- 28, 47, 49, 73, 82 Need all Diffractors

Ben,

I would suggest Beckett Marketplace about once every couple of months. Things don't change much there.

Beckett.com. Click Beckett Marketplace. Under "baseball", search "1998 Tek" and your player's first or last name. Repeat for each player. They have well over 500 1998 Teks listed. You do need to be logged on to buy. Shipping can get pricey one card at a time.

Thanks to togaman for finding me Jay Buhner Pattern 62. It's one of the patterns that has a lot of spotting issues, so I could still use a condition upgrade, if one exists.

I still need Patterns 4, 7, 41, 57, 70, 81, 84, 87, and 88.

Could use condition upgrades to Patterns 47, 51, 62, and 68.

If you find one I need I have some Tek for trade or will buy.
