I figured a lot of people bought his book. I guess I didn't but I figured it didn't go unread or as a dud at the book stores... I mean wasn't it a best seller?

Interesting take but true.Can't believe people are still villifying Canseco for "ratting out" his teammates. That book and the pressure it put on MLB was the main thing that got the Congressional investigation moving and in the long run, the improved testing, harsher penalties, and cleaner game.
On a personal / personality level Canseco might be a total d-bag, but his effect on the game is undeniable.
