From 1952 through 1978, Topps never put their logo on the card front.

Speaking of which, this ryno is an un corrected error because it's missing the topps logo 1406862454137.jpg

And somehow, no one at topps noticed this is reverse negative (look at the hat logo) 1406862504877.jpg

Despite what everyone assumed, these two cards do not share the exact same pic1406862388496.jpg

Every topps issue from 1960 to 1979 has a rc of a hall of famer except 1970

Two versions of every 1990 Fleer pack issued cards exist. One reads "printed in USA" while the other version reads "printed in Canada"

Technically, the 1990 Fleer "Printed in Canada" is a different set, Fleer Canadian. I've actually seen a few boxes here and there on ebay, and not cheap.

Also, if you really want to stretch it out, every Topps set from 1954 through 1980 has a HOF RC. Only 1981 breaks that streak, unless Raines or Baines get in, which would extend it through 1983 (and 1984 Topps will never have a HOF RC, sorry Mattingly!).

That is interesting. We can add 80 too, but I think we get shorted again in 81 (Gibson, Baines, Raines & Valenzuela are the better rookies that come too mind), but 82-83 we are back. After that it may get sparse for now. Too tired to research it.

I'm actually surprised there were not more gaps actually.

I was debating about figuring which YEARS (from 48-89) have no rc hall of famers at all, including updates and all major issues.

1984 would have one then with Puckett but not '81 (I originally thought Ainge was a basketball hall of famer at first).

One more which I've posted before but very interesting those who don't know.

No hall of famer has ever been pictured as a Yankee on their topps rookie card!

And even when Mariano is elected, his lone rc shows him in street clothes.

Was telling someone about this when Deion Sanders came into my mind.

I guess "officially" there is a hall of famer wearing a Yankees uniform on a topps RC, although he's in the football hof.

Wouldn't even matter as it's Bowman.
