hmm, 2007 AAA All-Star Game baseball made by rawlings just like the officlal ball used in the game, Adam Jones auto in ball point pen, really faded. 2013 Dodgers logo'ed baseball (OTOMH I believe it was made by rawlings) with some dodger AFL prospect autos in ball point pen, starting to fade.

Unless rawlings super craps on the quality of minor league balls compared to OMLBs, I ain't buying everyone's statement about official balls and ball point and there will be no problems. I prefer a card or 8x10 photo since I"ve never had ink problems with those.

Some of the special event balls made by Rawlings have a glossier coat to them. They will not hold an auto. A normal OMLB will have a coarser hide. Trust me, I have almost 200 OMLB's signed. The only ones with problems are those signed in black and those signed without using an official ball. The cheap made in China ones also work but I don't use them.

Exactly. Of all my signed OMLB's, only 2 are fading. The first was signed when I was 8 and was handled a lot. The other was signed in black. For whatever reason, black ballpoint ink is much more likely to fade than blue.

You use a OMLB and use blue ball point, they don't fade. At least not in our lifetime...

No comparison between MiLB baseballs and MLB ones.

Every level of the minor leagues has their own Rawlings balls like your AAA ball, but those are not ROMLB's. They are different. The hide is different and the way they are stored before buying them is different (in plastic wrappers). They need to be bought in the individual red/black box where they are wrapped in the tissue paper. You could also buy them in a plastic holder from Target and other places, but the holders aren't uv protected so if you keep them in those, there's a chance it'll fade as well.

Also, the ball cannot say made in China on it.

Hand him a baseball and ask him to sign it, with the inscription "To the Elders of Zion." Wait to see his reaction. Trust me.

Thankfully he's not into all that anymore, most of that was 'cuz his "agent" cleaned him out and he retreated into some backwards groups. He's been more level-headed the last 5-6 years.

And there are some great photos out there to get "Lefty" to sign but my favorite is a color profile shot of him at the Vet mid-wind-up...

Add me to the group that say a blue pen on a OMLB ball and you should be fine...

And to the OP, did you see Schmidt is signing at a Poconos-area Casino next Saturday 6/28?

I say absolutely not to a bat for a pitcher. No way!
I am biased toward 16x20s. They sign bigger, but they are harder to display if you have a lot of stuff.
A signed rubber just sounds wrong...;)
