I came back to the hobby in 2010 after a nearly a 20 year absence and I decided to start collecting a young up an coming player on my favorite baseball team. After buying a few of his cards from 2008, I decided to try and collect at least 1 copy of every licensed card made of him (other than 1/1 printing plates). At that time that seemed daunting and as time went on in 2010, his card shot up considerably as the the ROY and World Series champ. Fortunately I had the financial resources to try and become a Buster Posey supercollector. I believe I managed to acquire (mostly through Ebay) at least 90% of his licensed cards. However, starting this year, I think I lost some of the zeal for collecting and it become more and more tedious to search EBay looking for those few cards that I did not have and/or trying to keep up with dizzying number of his cards being printed every month.
