I don't care for the guy either from my dealings with him on eBay.

In talking to him it was very apparent that he's had some bad ebay messaging experiences, most likely with someone in this thread. Good luck trying to work with this guy, everyone. He really does have some awesome Dawsons.

Oh yes, he has an Andre Dawson collection to drool over especially when it comes to the higher end stuff. He might be a very nice guy but when it comes to Andre Dawson cards he is not reasonable or easy to work with. He has out bid me on numerous high end Andre Dawson cards on eBay.

The reason for his bad experiences is due to him being a *******.

I actually had a very pleasant conversation with him wherein he explained that his Dawson collection only consists of cards serial numbered 8/xx or 10/xx.

The problem comes from him outbidding everyone else for other high end Dawsons that he doesn't intend to keep, that he then puts in his eBay store for three times what he already outbid all the other Dawson collectors.

I haven't read back far enough (maybe), but with all these 1/1s, i have to assume you are buying out a previous collection over time?

A long time Dawson guy has been selling his collection all this year, 50 cards at a time.

Its getting a bit ridiculous actually, as he still has literally 1,000s of cards left to sell, and takes them all to the PO to ship, which is partly why he's going so slowly.

I am mainly an Expo Dawson collector, although I do have some other team stuff too. I liked the red, white & Blue of those late 70s/early 80s uniforms.

That is correct. There is a collector that selling off his Andre Dawson collection to raise money so he can open his own restaurant. The seller does not live to far from me and I was able to go visit him and check out his collection and it was simply amazing. I try to buy the 1/1s that don't go for an arm and a leg and i try to pick p the cheap stuff also. Every now and then I am able to work some deals offline with him. In my next package from him I will have one of these deals and I will probably find time to get my new stuff scanned and posted when that package arrives.

I have a lot of Expos stuff, but I prefer the red, white, and blue of the late 80's/early 90's :)

Of course I prefer the Cubbie stuff also but I like it all! It still surprises me that there is so much Expos and Cubs cards out there and very little Red Sox and zero Marlins.
