Found this checklist in my Dad's cards. He has tons of '99 and '00 but only one '98 I found so far.

Thought you all might enjoy. Sorry about the quality and IDK why they're sideways, scanner not working.

Cool stuff. I've never seen a 98 Tek checklist before and probably not a lot of those still around. If you got any 99 Tek Thome's let me know.

Gary,

One checklist in virtually every new '98 Tek pack. After I saw someone selling them for a few bucks each, I put a bunch of them aside. Next time I have anything to send you, remind me, and I'll stick one in the envelope!

Fun little trivia question based on that checklist-

Of the 90 guys, I see two that are still active...

Name them.

Then tell me who would be the closest active guy at #3 before he retired. (ie, most recently retired player)

Then tell me who would be the closest active guy at #4 before he retired. (ie 2nd most recently retired player)

ARod and Beltre, then Jeter retired last year... Can't recall if Thome was last year too? or Konerko and some others were year before that...

Ok, you jogged my memory....Jeter actually retired after 2014, not last year. Jeter and Konerko both retired at the end of 2014, so they're tied for #4 . Someone else retired at the end of 2015.

Thome last played in 2012, but I think he "retired" in mid 2014, so he's not the answer.

Ah man, can't believe how fast time flies. I swear it hadn't been that long since Jeets retired. ;) I'll have to really think about it.

I got the answer but had to cheat. The guy who it is, I actually thought he may still be playing. Anyway, I'll let someone else take a shot.

I was surprised when I looked that the Big 3 As pitchers of Zito, Haren and Hudson all formally retired within a month of each other. (Though that's not Tek related)

Congratulations on pattern #71 . Thats awesome! Yeah, if it weren't for Rich I'd still need 50 or 60 Thome Teks instead of 10. In fact, he is the reason I started collecting Thome Teks.

Same here. Rich got me started with 58 or 59 of the Belles. Don't know if I'd even tried without his help. Truly a great guy.
