Nope, you're correct. He's pulled at least 4 knobs/barrels in this years NT. Breaks enough boxes to do so

Crazy , I saw some math that they fall every 18 cases or so. Not 100% it's correct , but could be. I read another thread and a guy opened 20 cases and pulled 2, but that's a ton of $ in wax.

RstadlerASU22 that was my math. I based it on the fact that flawless cards fall 1 per case. there are 100 players on the flawless checklist so(100x20 base flawless)+(100x5 emerald flawless)+(100x1 diamond flawless) so 2600 flawless cards exist so therefore 1600 case produced at 4 boxes per case. That equals 10400 boxes. There are 145 total knobs and barrels available so 10400/145 equals 71.72 so roughly 1 per 72 packs/boxes or 1 per 18 cases of 2014 National treasures.

I was watching either in this thread or the one on Blowout that there was a guy who hit 2 knobs and be busted 19 or 20 case if I recall correctly. I mean that is in the neighborhood of 32k worth of product.

Yeah , I saw the thread and he said he hit two , then when he answered how many cases it took its like , ummm wow. Curious what he ends up being into the items he is PCing for after selling. Hope he didn't get hurt too bad

Yeah He may have been hurt pretty bad on that break. I know that I have broken the equivalent of 1 case of NT (4 boxes from 4 different cases) and have been in a couple of group breaks. I have been very fortunate as my sales have more than made up for the cost of the breaks.

My worst box has yielded a value of about half of the cost of a box. I just cannot fathom dropping over 32 grand on this product. I mean that is a crazy break. Most of the knobs have yielded prices below $1000. At 19 cases he had at a minimum approx. 608 hits(some boxes have 9 hits). if he received $2500(estimate) for the two knobs. That would leave 608 hits to recoup 30 grand. That would require each hit to sell at an average of $50 to break even. With all of the $5 jsy and RC's that seem like a tough row to hoe.
