2009 Upper Deck Ballpark Collection Laundry Tag 1/1

For non 1/1's I only need 30 cards currently, and while there are some easy ones still from 2014, I would really be happy with picking up any of them. Of the 30, 13 of them either have a print run or are #'d less than 50. By my count there are also 15/30 that are either readily available for me and I've just been lazy on picking them up since they are barely worth the cost of shipping, or they are out there and are just out of my price range right now.

First Span pickup in awhile, although it is a duplicate of a card I already have. It is my second one. I got it for a good price, plus it doesn't hurt that it is #'d to Span's Jersey #!

2009 SP Authentic Signatures Dual Auto #'d 02/15 (Jersey #) w/Nick Blackburn

On a side note for anybody who may have any information about this set at all, Span was included in several Dual and Triple Autos. In Beckett's online checklist it has a card #ND (the card above with Blackburn) and a card #DN that also lists it as a dual with Span/Blackburn. Is it possible that Upper Deck would have created the same 2 players on a dual with different card numbers? The only thing I could think of if they did would be to have Span on top and Blackburn on the bottom. The copies of this card I have seen have all been #ND , but I don't want to take the #DN off my checklist until I can get some kind of confirmation. Anybody break a lot of this or happen to have any of these lower player Dual/Triple cards?

Well thank you for the heads up! I will have to keep my eyes open for one to hopefully show up, unless the one you have is available? The Triple Auto with David Murphy is the last one of the Triple's that I need, have the others. Looks like you have a good grip on what cards from those years are available. Do you happen to know/have seen if the Dual Auto with Justin Morneau from that same set exists? Another one that I haven't seen. I started collecting Span in mid-late 2010 so I'm still trying to piece together quite a few from 2009.

Right now I'm keeping my other Blackburn, but I know who to give it to if you can't find one. I collect twins players as a whole, so I started collecting twins span cards back when he broke in the majors. I question the morneau/span dual auto because I looked everyday for a couple years once the product broke and I have never seen one. With that being said the other cards are correct on the checklist so it is possible. I haven't seen one and I look alot.

Yeah I spoke with a couple Morneau collectors and they have never seen the card either. I will likely keep it on my wantlist, but know that there is a good chance it doesn't exist. I still kick myself for not picking up the Span Chicle Artist Proof when I had the chance. That was around the time I just started collecting Span and I saw at least 2 sell in the $8-15 range but haven't seen one since. Do you happen to have any rare 1/1 Span cards?

Yes only his minnesota stuff. I basically have everything I want of him while he played for the twins. Don't think I've added a twins span card in 3 or so years.

If this was directed towards me, I am picking up all of his stuff Twins and Nationals. It looks likely that he will leave Washington after this season so I will continue to follow him wherever he plays!

I don't normally spend enough on eBay to reach the minimum $5 to get an eBay bucks certificate, but I bought some new shoes on a 4x eBay bucks day this period so I ended up with roughly a $10 coupon. Normally when I get coupons I like to knock out a couple cheap Span needs that I normally wouldn't like spending the money on. Bought a couple separate cards for my Twins PC as well as knocked off these 2 from my Span list!

Also for the first time since 2013 Span is on the preliminary Allen & Ginter checklist, so that will give me some more to chase! As with 2014, I have been slow to get going on his base Topps cards so I still have quite a few easy ones to hopefully knock off the list in the coming months!

It has been about a month since my last update and I have had a decent amount of activity. Along with starting to pick up some of his 2015 Topps Series 2 cards, Span was also included in Allen & Ginter (first since 2013) and is also in Topps Chrome (first since 2010). If anybody who is busting any Topps Chrome happens to pull some low #'d Span stuff please keep me in mind! Now for the pickups..
