I just got back from Breakfast with the Fox Valley Veterans Breakfast club. In the Photos the Man on the Left is none other then WWII Veteran Richard (Dick) Williams. Poet and Laureate. Who now has his second Book out of Poems he has wrote on a magnitude of subjects. Also in the picture is Herschel Luckinbill and to the right is John? But we all know him as bird man since he can duplicate most any bird sound you know......He too does poems sometimes and adds the birds sound in them if it is about a bird.
Here Bird man is giving Dick Williams a framed copy of the poem wrote about Bird Man in the book I think Dick released.
And this last one is where Hershel is presenting Dick Williams a framed photo of him and a 3 Star General taken this summer, when Dick wrote a poem about Generals in the service and then he recited it at speaking event the General did.
So every 2 weeks on a Thursday I get the great opportunity to have breakfast with some of the best people who fought for this country. I'm am truly blessed.
Soon next year I will be documenting their stories of the days gone by, so future generation can hear first hand the events that happened many years before those in the future. I look forward to making this a reality.
Here are to link of the Hershel He is a very busy man these days
