A little mail I finally picked up yesterday.
May have my first npb.. guy hit my bin on a griffey auto. After 4 days sent a payment reminder and a nice note saying I can ship as soon as he pays. Haven't heard anything.

What are the "out of his mind" prices?

$185
$385
$275

This dude is a world class ******.

His business model is to outbid everyone interested in a card on eBay, then put it in his show cases for 2-3x what he paid.

Always has barrels, buttons, jumbo patches for WAY more than they're worth.

$385 for a cool barrel of a HOFer, seems like it's reasonable. The Patch is great too. The Tribute, I would agree, overpriced. What would you too Dawson guys place as the value of each?

At auction, the Tribute would get $50-75, maybe $100 on a good day.

The patch/auto has sold in the past around $100, but would do a bit more because of the patch.

The barrel might go that high, but the fact that it was the Louisville plate instead of the Dawson nameplate seemed lame to me, especially since I associate Dawson with Rawlings bats.

If I was just some ******* with $1,000s in disposable income, I'd have likely struck a deal for all three.

That's what this guy's bread and butter is... People with more money than brains.

He's had this card in his case with a $100 price tag on it ever since he outbid me for it 6 years ago for $46...

He offered it to me today for $50, and I laughed and walked away.

Anyway, it was good to go and walk around. I chatted with a lot of the old time guys who complemented me on my Expos jersey.

Didn't buy any Dawson cards, as the few I found, I already had. I was kind of surprised at the lack of Dawson, or any other players really, from any of the more recent products. Didn't really see any Tribute, Five Star, very little National Treasures.

I did of course see TONS of overpriced Bryant, Schwarber, and Trout chromes...most BGS graded.

Tons of vintage baseball as always, football and bkb patches. Lots of memorabilia and photo dealers.

There were several wax sellers, but I didn't see anything worth opening to me.

I did grab this awesome looking Strata auto for $10...

and this Five Star I've wanted for a while, also $10...

18x20 autographed canvas print.

Seller had a whole booth full of these, all very nice, but only the Dawsons were signed because Dawson himself requested some from the guy :D
