FCB HALL OF FAME - FINALISTS FOR INDUCTION (Category - Single Card)

Lots of great cards were nominated so it was a tough decision to decide which single cards will have the opportunity to be voted on by the community for induction into the FCB Hall of Fame later this year. Here are the finalists:

2005 Bowman Chrome Draft Clay Buchholz Superfractor
Owner - beefycheddar

This card has been the subject of perhaps more discussion than any other in FCB history. If you don't believe me, check out this thread:
The Clay Buchholz Superfractor sells for 25K!!

2005 Donruss Timeless Teams Roberto Clemente Cut Autograph with GU Patch and GU Bat
Owner - Ty Hope

A beautiful card of an iconic player from perhaps the greatest year of card production the modern hobby has experienced. Card collecting is all about finding that special card that reminds you of everything you love about the sport and this hobby. One gets the feeling that this is precisely what has happened here.

1961 Topps Roger Maris Autograph
Owner - Laxcat

A new member with a timeless card, Laxcat has been very active discussing the hobby he (and his father before him) loves and showing the community some of the fantastic items in his collection including this beauty of an autograph from Maris' Summer of '61.

Magicpapa Autographed Playing Card
Owner - Much of the FCB Community / Creator - magicpapa

One of the things that makes FCB a fantastic community of collectors is the generosity that so many members display in giving cards to their fellow collectors. Few have been more generous than Magicpapa over the years, making this nomination a fitting tribute not only to the Magic Man but to all the great FCB members who have acted similarly. Michael Cuddyer Custom GU Bat Barrel Nameplate, Baseball Autograph, GU Bat Knob
Owner - Musial Collector / Creator - 200lbhockeyplayer

The card that proves that the creation of a great card does not require a manufacturer, just great talent. Created by one of FCB's own as the centerpiece of one of FCB's best player collections. Check this thread if you want to see how it was created: www.freedomcardboard.com/forum/baseball/111055-bat-ball=one-thick-custom-booklet-style.html

Honored for Induction, and honored that the mess that was the Buchholz Super thread gets the spotlight shone on it again.

The Buchholz is up for induction when the community votes after all the finalists are selected in the various baseball categories. You're not in yet!
