Re: As a player collector~I suck! Topps TEK *UPDATE pg. 2*

I decided it was time to bite the bullet and just start throwing money at this stuff. Picked up 57 of the 60 Adrian Beltres from the 1999 set on COMC for $14, a really good deal as far as I'm concerned. He's not a high priority for me as far as the players I collect, but it feels good to know that there's one player from one year I am almost done with. Other than these, I've only added maybe a dozen other Teks this year.

Well, it's been about a year since my last update...I still suck, but I am feeling a little better about sucking.
*BASE UPDATE*
I have added 35 new ones since August 2011:
1998-Card 23- (22/90!!) (+10)
1999-Card 37A- (22/30!) (+14)
1999-Card 37B- (10/30!) (+11)
2000- Card 27-(14/15), (COLOR 2/5) (16/20!) no change

And I still have 0 diffractors, one Gold from 1999, a couple colors from 2000, and just got these 6 in today:

I don't know how I missed this but the thread looks like its back from the dead. Albert Belle was in 1998 and 1999. I have:

1998 #47: 56/90 (4 diffractors and a 5th which is a double)
1999 #14A: 30/30 (6/30 golds)
1999 #14B: 29/30 (6/30 golds) (sig proclaims the sole missing pattern)

Ive had threads before with all my Tek cards from 1998, 1999 and 2000 which are for trade/sale but I'm assuming you all have seen it and picked at it when needed.

Here is an idea...

I'm not a player collector, so I think it would be kinda cool to do what I will call a "Progression" Set of 1998 Topps Tek. Meaning that you get Pattern #1 of card #1, pattern #2 of card #2, etc.

Do it for both the regular and base set.

I have crossed some guys who actually do this, great set idea! I had a few cards which fit this and they sold for a premium.

Definitely see a little light at the end of the tunnel...Started this thread almost 2 years ago exactly.
Keep your head up, Calripkenjrcollector...:D Not sure how long you've collected, but I started this thread 10 years after the products released and that's all I had!

I wonder why Gwynn diffractors never seem to show up. Ive only seen one on ebay and a high bin was hit on it.
