I sold this card about 10 days ago http://www.ebay.com/itm/400650759733?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649

I got this in the mail today

So between Lexington, KY where it was last scanned and Durham, NC the package was opened and the card stolen. Please keep an eye out for the card, it is pretty rare and worth a chunk of change.

2005 Ultimate Signature ROYs Bagwell/Rolen Autograph 15/15

Please spread the word.

Thanks, Erich

I'm on a lot of Forums, I'll keep my eye out. If you're on twitter, it might help to tweet it at different Forums, Cardboard Connection, Freedom cardboard, upper deck, etc. I've found that people posse up on stolen cards.

Looks like a postal worker got to it. That happened to me a few years back.

BOLO for rare stolen card.
Why are you offering a bolo tie for a stolen card?
(Seriously, I don't know what that acronym means)

This recently happened to me with a 2012 Panini Prime Cuts Collosal Patch/Auto of Rickey Henderson 15/25. The envelope was delivered and was perfectly sliced along the top. I was home at the time of delivery and I had other packages in with the mail that day that were not messed with. I paid around $70 for it. Seller was awesome and hooked me up with another nice card, but I really wanted that one.

http://postalnews.com/postalnewsblog/2014/02/08/feds-worker-stole-from-usps-sold-drugs/. Found this on a postal news website. How far is Pikeville from you?

I'd probably contact any card/pawn stores in the Lexington KY area and see if they've seen your card. My best guess is it was stolen by a plant worker or truck driver there and sold locally if it's not on Ebay or a similar site. If your really mad as I would be I'd call the postal inspection service and tell them your story. Your probably not the first person this happened to in that area or if you are they maybe able to stop this from happening again. There's no place for crooks at the USPS. Sorry man mean people suck. Hope you get resolution somehow

Is your return address something that would make them take a peek?
No just my name and addy. I shipped 10 other cards that week and ship at least 5-10 a week and have never had a problem. I suspect it was the Durham, NC PO that was the problem, that is where the label was sent from.

That is awful, my local postal workers know exactly what I do, are totally supportive, and super careful. They're sports fans, and half of the time they spend 20 minutes at my house talking about my stuff, and checking out cards. I'm sorry you ran into a scumbag, I'll definitely keep my eye out. Checking pawn shops, and card stores in the local area is a great idea.

Some years back when I lived in NC I had roughly 25+ in-coming mailers, routed through Durham, go missing and found most of the cards later at the Raleigh card show.
