Got back home yesterday, and have been busy opening 30 packages. Getting home took two days: the plane had a mechanical problem going into Boston making it unable to land in fog safely. After it was rerouted (to CT), we had to sit on the tarmac for about 4 hours before customs came to an agreement and finally let us off (meanwhile, I missed my flight out of Boston). Went through border security and went downstairs to customs, and then someone came after me and pulled me back for additional screening (by a truly obnoxious woman, who told me to file a Freedom of Information Act if I wanted to find out why I was pulled back). That done, I got a new flight, drove to Boston in the morning and found out that it was delayed (eventually 3 and a half hours late).

Anyway, the cards. Got 6 Gomes non-1/1s, and 11 1/1s. This pushes my percent of completion up three points to 78%, and my non-11 percent to a whopping 97% (from 95). Only missing 13 non-1/1 cards, and two are incoming. Wanna help? CLICK HERE!!!

A couple cool things:
I now have all 11 2002-03 cards (including 4 1/1s)
I have 44/45 of his rookie cards, also including 4 1/1s (the Just the Franchise plates---didn't know they existed until I contacted the seller about the Justifiable plates)
The 2005 and 2006 plates were previously on eBay. The 2006 one I lost, while the 2005 plate didn't sell and was eventually sold off eBay. I finally came to an agreement with the original purchaser of the 2006 card, while the original seller of the 2005 card bought it back from the dealer to whom he sold it, and made it available to me.
I have 66 of 176 1/1s, pushing me from 31 to 38 percent.
I have both Topps Chrome Super-Fractors (2007 and 2008)

Matt Diaz, 2008 Allen & Ginter A&G Black Border (still missing the A&G back, no number and bazooka):

Welcome back Luc!
Good to see you have finished the Documentary set. With one incoming I will still be missing four.
Nice superfractor by the way. I'm yet to find one Topps for me (I have one of Bowman and two of Finest) , and one is in the hand of another board memeber.

js0000001: Thanks!

r2d2: Yeah, I'm glad to be done with it quickly; it feels like one of those sets that isn't especially rare, but could just keep dragging on.
Conversely, I have yet to find a Bowman one (of Gomes, at least  ). I saw the Topps Cantu that the other member has. Any chance you will end up with it?

I don't think so, it's on his PC. At least I know it exists and it is in good hands.
I still have hopes that I'll end up with another Bowman Chrome super

Great haul- I always love seeing your maildays since our player collections are so similar. Having almost all of the Documentary cards is impressive; I was planning on buying a bunch from the Beckett Marketplace or Sportlots, but I still don't have a single one.

Thanks! I just went through your bucket, and you have some really nice Rowand cards. I hadn't thought about it before, but you're right about our collections being very similar---to boot, Gomes and Rowand are a bunch of the same 2006 sets.

I bought most of the Documentary cards from Beckett (all the base, and about six gold), one or two gold from Sportlots, one or two from eBay and the incoming one is from The Bench. If I were you, I would at least try to get the gold ones now---I've only seen one or two per card, and I'm sure that they will dry up.

You were singled out for re-screening since they checked your mail box while
you were gone and seen all those bubble pack mailers in there. No big deal

As good a guess as any, I suppose ;)
