Typical bad Dempster start: lose command of the strike zone and give up a big inning. He's a good pitcher but if he could maintain his command a bit better he would be great.

My grandpa was born in 1909 and lived until 1994. Well you know he didn't see it happen. Im not sure im going to see it happen but I still love em. Even though they can never beat the Pirates

I don't think he lost command of the strike zone, I think he lost confidence in his stuff. His ball 4 pitches to Cedeno and Tabata, along with the 2-2 pitch to Walker, I'm pretty sure he intentionally threw out of the strike zone hoping they would chase and strike out. I was going nuts watching it, I couldn't believe no one came out of the dugout to tell him to just throw a few strikes and have confidence in his ability. Same old Cubs. Some of the quotes from the link below could have been about today's game.
