Maine of course......
Tough choices. While Cobb was a a$$, who wouldn't want him batting lead-off.....I vote Cobb #1 (and I believe Cobb did not typically bat led off)

...Kenny Lofton (face palm not working)......

lol It gets tricky sometimes towards the bottom. There were a few players in the running for the 9th spot, Jim Edmonds being one of them. But Lofton seemed to be the best choice. He really was a great player and one of the best defensive CFs of all-time. Where he ranks is subjective.

You add Kenny Loften to greatest CF of all time but left Albert Belle off the voting for greatest LF of all time?! ;)

I'm a big Belle guy. One of the best hitters ever. Trust me, I thought of it. But I couldn't justify it since his career was cut short due to injury. In the case of Puckett, it was a fluke injury, not a "body breaking down" injury.

I don't know how this could come down to anyone other than Cobb and Mays.

Cobb had every record there was other than HRs when he retired. Batted over .320 for 23 straight seasons, and over .400 3 times. Also he is still the holder of the highest career batting average at .366.

One of the biggest factors for me is he got the most votes in the first HOF class induction. More than Ruth, Wagner, Mathewson, and Johnson. That doesn't happen by accident.

That said, I don't know how you can leave Mays off either. The two of them are probably two of the top 5 ever. One needs to DH on this team.

Man this one was so tough. I voted Cobb because although he was dirty and an ass I believe he was the greatest player of all time. I didn't even vote for a #2. Mays, Mantle, Joe D lots of great options

Hmmm. I didn't think of adding the best DH of all-time. Possibility, although it would actually be players who spent most of their careers at DH.
