This week's topic of discussion, 2012 TOPPS MINI

"2012 Topps Mini, a mini-sized parallel brand of the base 2012 Topps set, was released on August 1, 2012. Boxes were available for sale at the Topps corporate booth at the 2012 National Sports Collectors Convention and on the Topps website. Each card measures 2 1/4" X 3 1/8" -- the same size as the 1975 Topps Minis. The Topps website sold out of boxes at 3:00PM EST on August 28, 2012 as the 341 remaining boxes were sold to a single buyer.
Based on the stated production runs and pack insertion ratios, BCP has calculated that only 8,400 waxboxes were produced and that less than 2,900 copies of each base card were produced."

I wonder if Topps will make Topps CHROME Mini, a FULL 661-card chrome parallel complete with Refractors and all...I'd buy it if they were as limited as the regular minis.

Just got done busting 20 of my 40 boxes....doing okay so far. Trout jersey, autos of Volquez, Walker, and Hanson. Plates of Verlander and Montero RC (also 5 other plates, forget who)....Musial bat....silver parallels of Halladay, Freese, and about 5 others. Biggest gold is Darvish RC. Just need a silver Harper please

Not a bad idea but it would be better if it was even more limited. Either that or they were just do a mini version of the 220 Chrome checklist, which wouldn't be as fun, IMO.

I don't think they should over do it. They just need to stick to just base topps once a year.

Remember, this is Topps we're talking about. Of course they will overdo it.

Maybe I am crazy...this just did not appeal to me. I felt like it was Dr. Doofenschmirtz scheme from Phineas and Ferb.

Those of you who now KNOW I am crazy either don't have children, don't watch the Disney channel or both.

Oh I agree, I'm all about #'d parallels, I just love Phineas and Ferb.
