Excluding team sets and the damn Rawlings glove card, this is the last pre-1980 Doerr card I need.
Have never seen one and hard to find info on this 35-card set. Like most TCMA issues, it's probably a underappreciated. Google search for it turns up the checklist, but nothing concrete in terms of info.
Did some hard digging this am into the corners of eBay and ending up finding a seller who has a Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio for sale. Decent pictures in the auction give us some details on the set

As you can see in the second picture it looks like there is a return address label on the back of some of the cards that reads:
HOUSE OF JAZZ, LTD.
"Sounds of the 30s, 40s, 50s"
Glenside, Pa. 19038
Don't know about you, but Glenside, Pennsylvania is not the place I would have guessed that this set came from (New Orleans anyone?). Never know I guess. Googled it and doesn't look like it is still in existence either.
Also seems odd to me that only two out of the four cards listed in the auction have the House of Jazz sticker on the back. Did they not all include the sticker? Could make for authentication issues...
So we know that the set exists, but does anyone have their player? Anybody have more info on the distribution of this set?
Thanks,
Jeff
