1988 Baseball Super Stars Discs (Our Own Tea, Tetley, etc.)

Beckett mentions it in their set description, but SCD does not, that the 1990 Tetley set has a variation. It appears the set was originally printed with "Fourth Annual" on the front, which was quickly corrected to "Third Annual". Based on some quick eBay searching, it appears the calendar poster was also printed with "Fourth" before the error was caught.

I’m not too sure this is a tetley variation versus a separate set. There is the one that has tetleys on the bottom (third edition) and a separate one that has superstars on the bottom (fourth edition). These have been two different sets for a number of years.

Funny, I looked on the thread to see my old posts on there about the Murphy discs. I looked for these things for over a decade.
There was a huge dump of these on eBay in 2012 and I finished off all the Dale Murphy discs that I needed. After those were sold, these were pretty much gone again. You see occasional ones pop up but many variations are still quite rare.

I have some commons left but I don’t think any major stars. In 89 Murphy was with Jose Oquendo. I probably have all or most of those but the Jose Oquendo player collectors have just not been beating down my door to get these. haha

There are literally two versions of Tetley discs. Both say Tetley with the Third or Fourth along the left side. Plenty of images on eBay and COMC to confirm.

Can you post a link? I checked my Pucketts and poster mine are all 3rd annual. I looked for Pucketts on line but didn't have any luck.

Pretty neat to find a new oddball after all this time but I was bummed I didn't get lucky and have it already.

Y'know, what? I think you're right and I'm am idiot. I spend the better part of an hour scouring the web confirming this and never caught the Tetley/Superstars thing.
