Ive had this for a long time
In 1989, Bowman commissioned Craig Pursley to create paintings of 11 baseball stars, including Nolan Ryan, Don Mattingly and Dwight Gooden. The company used the artwork to produce sweepstakes cards that it inserted into 1990 packs. It also produced 500 lithographs of each painting. A total of 250 sets were given away in the sweepstakes. The remaining 250 sets were offered to hobby dealers, who retailed them for $400-450. Offered here is the Ryan lithograph, the premier litho in the set. Numbered 236 of 500 and designated a “Hobby Sample,” it is signed by Pursely. The lithograph has 6” x 8.5” image printed on 11” x 14” stock.
