Having worked as a baseball card editor myself, Billy is absolutely right about this:

"I can't believe the people at Fleer couldn't catch that. I mean, they certainly have to have enough proofreaders to see it. I think not only did they see it, they enhanced it. That writing on that bat is way too clear. I don't write that neat. I think they knew that once they saw it, they could use the card to create an awful lot of stir."

Hey my names in there !!

I think Bill does sign. I have heard he signed 40 FF and BBox to help fund a wedding. true? I dunno. Was told they had an agreement with him to promise not to sign anymore. Hard to believe he needed a few $ from autos to fund a wedding though.

But I have seen cards signed, in 2 different inks.

I met one guy who used to be a neighbor or friend of his and he has numerous cards signed and alot of his GU equipment that lead me to believe him.

I heard he used to decline signing the FF card but I think that has changed. I have seen around 10-15 of the FF signed in the past 4 or so years.

Crazy part about all of it is that the word is Fock, not the other one.

The marker looks blurred to the naked eye. Once enlarged, you can make out the u. edited to say, well kinda. Some cards are clearer to see the u on and it's safe to assume it is a U but the marker was too wide to make a clear u.
