Man, I never thought I'd find the Musial/Snider card numbered to /5 to complete this set! Was seriously believing it was never made, as I haven't even seen an image of it in the 12+ years I've worked on this set. But today it popped on eBay, and I splurged on it. Had to finally put this set to bed. It's an odd, dual memorabilia, 40 card set (swatch on front and swatch on back of card), with cards serial numbered to /250, /100, /50 or in the case of the Musial/Snider, just /5. This may be the first complete set put together - don't know anyone else that attempted it.

It will be interesting to see how many HOF players this set ends up having in it. Currently its 32, but sure to go up in the coming years.

Still have 16 cards to find to complete the quad material version of this set - that one will be impossible! Here's my permanent gallery: http://baseballcardstars.com/playofftandems.html

Well done Brad! And the last card has the best overall character to it out of the rest of the set IMO. Congrats, and the scans look great too!

I don't remember the details off hand, but there is a more limited version of the Garvey/Smith #'d to /25 as well. Maybe they all have a more limited version too?

There are quad material variations for 30 of the 40 cards in the set. These are numbered to /25, /10, /5 or /1. There is only one numbered 1/1, and I have it, so I'm the only one that can complete this set. I have 14 of the 30 quad versions. I don't have the Smith/Garvey but I did see one a year or two ago - but seller asking way too much for it. nosterbor - I don't have and have not seen the Sosa/Gonzalez.

Here's the Jeter/Rizzuto dual numbered /5. I pulled this out of a box myself. Back around 2006, my local Meijer store had these boxes on discount for $35 and I bought many of them. Pulled a few of the Tandems and that got me started on the set.

Odd that the worst pairing, Prior and Zito, was the 1/1 card.

Last year I scored the Sosa/Banks quad /5 for $8!

Yeah but back when the set came out, would Prior and Zito be considered the worst pairing? But funny now I guess
