Brian, I would implore you not to let a few bad apples spoil your participation on these boards. Some people here are generally closed-minded by nature, and I hope you don't take it personally in any way.

As for the sell sheet and specs, I applaud your efforts and look forward to this product.

I agree with this completely!!

So, with us only wanting two boxes, we'll need to go through a dealer, correct?

Brian, you have a PM. It's fairly important from a business stand-point, check it out and reply if you'd like.

Idk about this. To me this is just as bad if not worse then when topps takes player x who has a base chrome card in chrome and then gives them an auto in draft the same year. This is like if Lars Anderson had a chrome auto in Bowman then another Chrome auto in Draft. I guess I am not understanding who this product is for? Why would a prospector want a players 2nd autograph release from the same company? Brian, can you say who the target is here?

With that said, The designs look AWESOME on these.Would love to see a scan when they are actually produced.

For what it's worth, Brian has said that 30 of the players in this checklist will not have had cards already in Sig. Series.

I dont understand the photoshopped letters on the sell sheet.

Isnt this a high end product? I think the actual letters should have been on the sell sheet. You are trying to get people to buy it.

Personally If I saw that and I was purchasing it for a card shop... Id likely pass on buying it.

But which exclusives? That's what the key for Razor is right? EXCLUSIVITY? Have not paid much attention to Sig Series but what big names have not been used that can be used as a selling point for this?

I'm guessing all of the newbies will be exclusives, most likely players who had not signed contracts in time for inclusion in Sig. Series or have not yet signed their contracts.

While the "bigger" names will be making their 2nd appearance, remember, this product is geared towards a demographic with bigger wallets than those who bought their first product. How is this different from Topps using the same players throughout a year in their base brand, followed by Heritage, Bowman, etc? I really don't see this as a bad thing. It would be different if these were simply autographed, but they're clearly more than that.

Gabe - it's going to be considered to be a 2008 product, despite its' release date. Their third product will be 2009.

Looks like it could be interesting...hopefully the letters bear some relevance to the player, and aren't generic "white letter on blue background", etc.

I believe he stated earlier they will be more generic. Like the Posey version for AL teams... and the red, white, blue version for NL teams... or something like that. Team versions would be better I think.

I guess if you look at it in that light then you have to predict it will not sell just like Heritage autos and Base Bowman autos do not sell. Heck even top prospects like Chris Tillman's first auto SOTF auto does not sell well.

As for the "bigger wallets" statement, most with bigger wallets are collectors and not prospectors. Why would a prospector with a fat wallet want Pedro Alvarez's Letterman auto when he can have his TRUE first card rc auto parallel (maybe the /199) for the same price? (Just guessing on what these things might sell for).
