2009-10 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Basketball is ready for pre-sell at www.atlantasportscards.com

This product is available under the Basketball Case Pre-sells. Here is some information about the product:

Configuration: 3 boxes per case. 5 cards per pack.

Features designs from 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite.

Includes stars from all sports such as Tiger Woods, John Elway, Sidney Crosby, Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Includes RCs from the 2009 NBA Draft such as Ricky Rubio and Stephen Curry.

Upper Deck released preview images and basic product information on Monday for its finale in basketball cards — 2009-10 Exquisite Basketball.

The product is set to arrive next week — on Sept. 30 — and its production was kept a secret even at Upper Deck, according to Basketball Brand Manager Brandon Miller.

Exquisite has been perhaps the highest of the high-end products for any sport the last few years and Upper Deck promises this to be the most limited version of Exquisite Collection yet.

The standard set consists of 42 regular cards, 32 Exquisite Rookie Auto Cards and 18 Exquisite Rookie Auto Patch Flashback cards.

What does that mean? Some of the top stars in all of the sports world are coming to Exquisite.

Among the inserts are NBA All Access Triple Logoman Patch Cards (1/1s), Limited Logos autographs (varied numbering) and Noble Nameplates autographs (Varied numbering).

There will be five cards per box and three boxes per case.

“This product was top secret and only essential internal personnel knew about it to work it through the production process for it,” Miller said. “We knew collectors would be thrilled when we finally came out with the announcement so secrecy was key. Half of the fun is getting to see the reaction and excitement of our customers when it’s finally revealed because we know how passionate Exquisite collectors are. Things got a little exciting a couple weeks ago when the checklist posted to final and also to the Upper Deck website unfortunately. Some rumors have been buzzing from that, but otherwise, I don’t think many people knew it was coming.”

Looks like there may be 2800 cases of this stuff assuming there is one base card per pack, or at least 2500 cases. That's still pretty plentiful and is comparable to 2008 exquisite football production....

So I'm sure we're seeing the best of the best as usual, and there WILL be some serious dud cases. Perhaps case prices will stay around $2000 maximum, at least for the first month...

I think this is one of my first posts in the basketball forum. As far as super high end wax, I usually break The Cup and something in Exqusite. But its been a while and I'm not getting anyhitng form The Cup this (next year for sure with Mr. Tavares in the loom).

Dave, are you getting a case of this stuff? It looks very sweet and the autos i the product seem to have more big names than filler no namer rookies.

I'm getting a case from Atlanta Sports Cards for sure now.

BTW, check out the baseball box breaks as I opened 2 boxes of Goodwin Championship and pulled a sweet Jordan card #7/8!

I ordered my case last night from Atlanta Sports Cards for $1999 which I thought was "fair" considering the outrageous markups scene on eBay right now. Even Dave&Adams is at around $2400 ?!?!?!
