Maybe Topps decided to flip the script on us, and made the Vets blue and the Prospects red? If so, that's ridiculous.

I actually like this design. If by random colored borders, you mean the bit of color around the photo that matches one of the team's primary colors, I like that as well.

Could be an "AL/NL" thing as well?

I honestly wonder if it was a failed design for 2012 Topps Lineage.

The color of the border varies depending on the teams colors.

Hopefully the Marlins have a baby blue border, because the only player I am going for in the set is a Marlin. I can already see it being orange though. eeeeeck

I like the design but I am sick of the names being in foil in so many of the releases. It gets really tiring having to catch the light a certain way in order to read them. Especially when I'm trying to zoom through a stack to find a particular player. I really need to ask Topps why they continue to do this.

Border color is by teams' primary color. I like the different design from vet/rc and prospect to help differentiate between the two since they appear to be all white bordered.

I haven't really liked a Bowman design since 2005. These are so meh they give me Epstein-Barr disease. I think with these players Harper is the vet and Darvish is still the blue prospect, note the RC logo, so red vet/blue rookie is still the rule. And yes I know Harper is a rookie this year according to all the rules but he's already had Bowman cards for 3 years. So who knows.

The top of the design is too tight.
Its naturally off centered
The harper is worse- they should have made the top and bottom borders consistent

The Red Veteran / Green Rookie / Blue Prospect is no longer happening.
