Every year the Gilbert Brown Foundation puts on a Green Bay Packers Tavern Tour. Which is where a group of former Packers players gets together and goes to different bars around the area while trying to raise money for the Gilbert Brown Foundation. It's $100 a ticket and you ride a coach bus to the bars and there are drink specials at each bar. There are two players per bus and each owner of the participating bars are also on each one of the buses. It's a competition to see which bus can raise the most money. You raise money by selling different items and autographed memorabilia at the bars as well as rip tickets and raffle tickets to win memorabilia. You spend 30 minutes at each bar and we went to 5 bars total and then you finish the night at the bar it all started at. It was an absolute blast and our bus raised the most money! The players that were there this year were Gilbert Brown, LeRoy Butler, Marco Rivera, Frank Winters, Chris Jacke, Lynn Dickey and William Henderson. We were on Gilbert Brown and LeRoy Butler's bus. Gilbert Brown did have his "crew" on the bus as well which included his High School Football coach who also was Jerome Bettis' High School coach. Craig Newsome, Ahman Green and Bill Schroeder were suppose to be there as well but for some reason they weren't.

There is a pre-party before we leave for the tour and that is when you can get autographs and pictures. They do charge for autographs and you must buy a picture pass to take any pictures of the players but it all goes to the Gilbert Brown Foundation. There is also autographed memorabilia all over the place to purchase, from pictures, balls, helmets, jerseys etc. Some stuff is priced kind of high but you can get some solid deals and they are willing to bargain with you. Anyway here are some pictures, I am in the grey shirt and my brother is the guy in the yellow shirt.

For some reason these smeared when we put them back in the penny sleeves. We did wait too but he was signing jerseys at the time so it could have been the marker.

Gilbert Brown's nick name was The Grave Digger so he sells autographed shovels and here is a Breast Cancer Awareness shovel:

That looks like an awesome time... From the pic it looks as though Gilbert Brown has dropped a significant amount of weight from his playing days.

That's awesome man. Looks like Leroy Butler may have found some of the weight that Gilbert lost. Thanks for sharing the photos!
