Why not just get the jersey, and go to Wal Mart to pick up a frame? You can get a poster fram for $20 or less. It's nothing fancy - just a thick plastic front (like glass), a corkboard back for protection, and then black strips around the side to hold it together. Of course it has things on the back to hang it.
Okay...well what are you going to do with the poster.I myself wouldn't really enjoy having a signed poster out and naked as it were. You need some protection for that thing asap.I had a Steve Slaton 16x20 auto'd and I left it out for a few months.Never even touched it.Finally go to get it framed and notice scratches along the surface.Did it happen at home or the signing...I'll never know. But I will never leave anything unprotected if I can.
Unless you think you have a good chance at getting the jersey signed soon, I say get the poster framed.
I agree with you too that if you do frame it do it right. With frames you often times get what you pay for, and on an item like that I'd want it to look good. You can also get the UV protection glass at a real frame shop that will help keep the auto from fading (I still wouldn't put it in direct light).
