I was out about 8:00am today on a back road about 20 miles from home and saw a black bear with a very young cub on the side of the road. She saw me coming down on the other side of the road. She jumped over the guardrail. The cub was still on the side of the road. I'm sure she came back for the cub. I hope. I know there are bears in Massachusetts. I've never seen one before around here.
