I'm not sure how far the homer went but I remember going to a Mariners game and there was an absolute BOMB way behind me in the cheap seats. The guys name was Wladimir Balentien, a complete bust player who went to Korea and broke their HR record.

He hit only 15 home runs in his MLB career, six of which were playing at home with the Mariners. Here's the last of those, aptly described as a moon shot. Though pre-Statcast, his final MLB home run (with the Reds) was clocked at 495 feet.

Thanks for the clip, that brings back memories. :) That's the last game I ever went to, I remember it because it was the day Michael Jackson died or was reported as dead and everyone was talking about it outside the stadium.

Balentien went to Japan, but it is widely acknowledged that the ball was juiced that year (and the following year). One of a long line of MLB misses who crushed it the ball in Japan like Randy Bass, Tuffy Rhodes and Alex Ramirez.

Kingman's is the longest I have ever seen.

Glen Allen Hills is the 2nd longest

I saw both of these games on WGN back in the day when I lived in the Chicago area. Those were the days.
Kingmans homer I would say was over 560 feet. It hit the front porch of the 4th house.

Ah yeah, I completely forgot it was NPB, that's even more of a big deal than KBO.
