An intresting Clemente check that was signed in 1977!?!

Perhaps, I am confused but I thought that Roberto Clemente died in 1972? I am just curious how he could of signed a check in 1977? Please tell me I am wrong?

I don't think that is a 1. The sad part about it is its in a PSA holder.

It's not a 7, it's either a 1 or a 2.

There is a small tail at the end of the second number, very likely could be a 2.

It has no consistency to the 7 before it (I am no handwriting expert, but if he scribbled it fast, it would look realitively the same...

Isnt there a stamp from the bank on the back with a date when the check was processed? i could be wrong but asking for a scan of the back might show the date. Im not sure but its worth a shot.

Common sense would say its a 2 or a 1 since its obviously not a zero.

I cant say for sure what year that says, Im sure it's authentic though. As someone else said it may have date stamp on other side of check.
