So I stumbled upon a old SGC baseball card almanac and came across this:

In 1984, Renana Galasso Inc. produced a 30 card set featuring Reggie Jackson. The backs of many of the cards show part of a puzzle of all of Jackson's Topps cards produced up to that point. The set was limited to 10,000 with 500 featuring a genuine autograph on card #1.

So yeah, probably not the card you were thinking of. Here's a pic of an autographed version of the set that sold recently. Does the design of card #1 remind you of anything?

Just seeing this now. Great card, I got myself 1, maybe 2. They had some others like that around that time. Tony Gwynn has a signed TCMA card that I seem to recall was "certified" or at least sold that way, but I don't think it was serialized. Mays had Renata Galasso autographed cards as well. In the late 70s/early 80s, she was selling Mays autographs for about what a Fred Lynn auto would set you back now. Maybe had a connection, through her husband or other hobby friends.
