I remember a few weeks ago after the mis-spelling fiasco happened, there was a lot of conversation about the rise of these cards and how it was imperative to dump them now before value went down.

When on eBay this afternoon, I stumbled across one of the cards which lead me to completed sales, which led me to the last three sales:

[phil:kcnaaix4]170777176099[/phil:kcnaaix4]
[phil:kcnaaix4]120852982079[/phil:kcnaaix4]
[phil:kcnaaix4]200708902534[/phil:kcnaaix4]

Considerably up from:

[phil:kcnaaix4]230738426203[/phil:kcnaaix4]
[phil:kcnaaix4]360430208145[/phil:kcnaaix4]

and some others in the $250ish range...if anything these are going up it seems!

I know I am as suprised as anyone at the price/demand for these cards so far! And although I am critical of LEAF from time to time, I think Brian would agree that I am overall a LEAF supporter with both my online presence and wallet. However, the current sell value of these cards does not mask the overwhelming blunder(s) made with this card. For as many people that overlooked it, and the fact it was not lost in a 700 card set, glaring errors like this are something that simply can not happen. I think Brian too would agree on this as well.

But to digress back to the main point, I am still in awe over the price and demand of these cards and wish I had bought some for sure!

I sold 5 of mine. Thought I would be taking too much of a chance holding and hoping they'd surpass the $300 mark. I was happy with all of my sales.

Sounds like you've got some additional money to buy Army singles this year :)

We never came back and told you guys, but the error occured at the press level after correct files were approved in house.
I still don't understand it myself, but we review proofs in house which were correct..
Regardless, I am happy with how we handled it and surprised at the secondary market reaction...

Corrected versions can be found in 2012 Leaf metal FB.. BG

Sold for $625:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANDREW-LUCK-ERR ... 500wt_1182

It looks like the last couple have been sold off-line but looks to have been sold on ebay for a small amount. Sellers are cancelling bids and taking big profits off-line it appears. I'm guessing over $400, but that's just a guess looking at bid histories.
Something fishy there. Leaf not even in the title. Huh.

Same day sale of $102.
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0823543985

No others over $305.
That $625 doesn't even show up in completed (*edit. Leaf not in title)

If you look at the bids that were cancelled on that auction and others, some bids were over $400. Now two BIN/BO auctions set at $1250 have been ended early. I wonder what these guys are getting paid off-line?

Does anyone know what these are bringing off-line? I'd have to guess over $400 and maybe closer to $600 or more?

Brian,

Have the extra error cards that were never sold been destroyed yet?

Thanks,

Matt

Does anyone know if the extra error cards that were never sold have been destroyed yet as promised?

I'm not trying to start any trouble. I'm just curious if this was done yet.
