Yeah, the "grading" process is wholly subjectve and proven to be a coin flip time and again (especially the difference between a 9 and a 10 as the recent forum posts have proven atound the i terwebs), and is totally aside from the core component failure here; authentication! Its LITERALLY in their NAME, and they fail at it regularly, since 1991 when they graded the trimmed Honus Wagner trimmed by Mastro hinself as a legit 8. The fact is, crowd sourced expertise has surpassed PROFESSIONAL SPORTS AUTHENTICATORS, Beckett, SGC, CGC, and all the rest because the actual expertise and experience lies in real hobbyists who easily congregate now, not the $20 dollar an hour mostly TCG fans that PSA employs to burn through cards at 20 seconds a piece sitting in a building. People try to excuse the ENDLESS MISTAKES as "slip ups and an error rate due to volume", but missing the authentication piece when you NAMED YOUR COMPANY THAT is simply unacceptable. Its just about $ and market profitability that they exist, not expertise or credibility.Oof. That's a poor fake too.
PSA graders need to read their own CardFacts
Here's the PSA Cert page: https://www.psacard.com/cert/141602859/psa
This definitely doesn't instill confidence in PSA's grading process, but the sale should be fully covered by their Authenticity Guarantee. I don't believe other grading companies like BGS or SGC offer an Authenticity Guarantee that includes financial compensation if a fake card is graded and sold.
