I havent been doing much else other than working out and going to the driving range/batting cages. I think I could get at least a couple of singles.

I said last week when he was like 0-24 that his numbers resembled what mine would look like. By 37 ABs, I would be laying down some bunts and choking halfway up the bat just looking to slap something.

But how many of us could strike out Shaq Green-Thompson?

I said yes because I'm an internet tough guy who will never be in a position anywhere close to having to prove it.

No, I'm worse. Much, much worse. Me benching 315 or squatting 500 has nothing to do with the fact that I look foolish when trying to hit a baseball.

I'd like to think I could get a hit, but I wasn't the best hitter. I pitched, but hockey was my sport. Like most kids in the Midwest, baseball is tough in this climate.

No. Especially if the first pitch was high and in. I'd make John Kruk with his backward helmet look brave. I'd be even more scared to bunt, since that requires leaning closer to the plate.

I have no idea what a 90+ mph fastball with movement looks like from the perspective of a batter, and I'm ok with that.

Funny that you say that. I played mens league softball against a guy from my hometown who was an all-SEC offensive lineman for the Arkansas Razorbacks then was on the practice squad for Atlanta Falcons...he was massive and still very muscular. Everybody just knew he could hit a HR anytime he wanted because, well, he's a local legend. Well, he struck out 3 times that game on 9 pitches. The last time he swung so hard he twirled completely around and fell to the ground :p

In his defense, he only played one full year of high school baseball which was this year and will be leaving the GCL on August 1st to go play football for the Huskies. Not a bad summer at all !

In 1987, I stood about 15 feet behind the catcher in the bullpen who was warming up Dwight Gooden. It remains the most terrifying experience of my life. I have no idea how anyone ever hit his 80mph 12-6 curveball.

As a 17 year old high school baseball player that is used to facing mid 70- low 80s pitching I think I could. I hit .341 at the JV level last year with 47 plate apperances. I hit consistently all year, i figure they are hitting high 80s- low 90s down there so it would just take a little adjusting and I belive I would get a hit.
Disclaimer- I use an aluminum bat in HS but have hit just as well with a wood bat before.

100% confident, I still face college pitchers in my wood bat league some touching high 80's so wouldnt be a problem for me
