Two years ago, I was in a bidding war for one of these, and it got away from me. I am now lucky enough to have the 2/5 Bagwell plaque.

Never even heard of these. Are they listed on Beckett's list?If not...good win anyways.I have seen a few of the oversized auto'd gu cards but not a plaque.Pretty cool looking.

I don't know if they are in the Beckett, but these were put out by Playoff Absolute in 2002, the year before they did the glass plaques. I have a glass plaque from 2003 of Bagwell. Used to have a Berkman, but sold it. The glass plaques from 2003 aren't as rare as these ones, as I recall. My Bagwell 2003 plaque is 15/15.
This Bagwell 2002 Absolute plaque is a limited edition of 5, and I got 2/5. I got into a bidding war over one of them a couple of years back. I remember that it was the night before my b-day, and I was so pissed that this guy kept raising the price. It ended for $320, and I simply was not willing to pay that much. But I was able to get this one for an offer of $200.
Glad to finally have it!

Sounds like you did well. And hey...remember...don't bid until the final 30 seconds or less. That way you don't run up the price.Trust me...it works.

I hate doing it that way, since I get so nervous. Plus, I am going back to school this weekend, and I wanted to have it before I left. What happens with me is sometimes I see that an item I want has few bids going down to the wire. Then, I just forget and lose what could have been a great deal. I had that happen to me with a pair of Bagwell cleats. I lost track of time, and they went for $43. I actually just bought them from the winning bidder, but they cost me a whole $200. Do you use a snipe program?

Beckett lists them as Absolute Memorabilia Signing Bonus and there are four Biggios (each /7), one for every color of jersey the Astros wore: white, grey, pinstripe and red. The one I have is pinstripe also.

Really? I didn't realize that there were four separate plaques for Biggio...is it the same for Bagwell? If that's the case, then I'll have to watch out for the others.
None of the numbers are game-used, are they?

I just assumed the numbers were not game-used, but I'm actually not 100% sure. There are four Bagwells as well, I just checked Beckett. They are all /5.

Thanks for letting me know. Perhaps if I wait another two years, the others will show up! You just don't see too many of these, and I search Bagwell pretty much every day.

Aren't you only collecting super rare items? If not let me know.I don't want to be bidding each other up to ridiculous amounts.
